Useful shortcuts
  • Quick link: Insert a hyperlink instantly, without going through a dialog.

    Copy a Web address from your Web browser. Select some text in RocketPost. Choose Quick Link from the Insert menu (or press Ctrl+J) to turn the text into a hyperlink.

  • Paste quote: Automatically links each quote you use in your post with its source.

    Copy text in your Web browser. In RocketPost, choose Paste Quote from the Edit menu (or press Ctrl+Q). The quote is automatically formatted with its source:
    Lorem ipsum... Dolorem. [NYT]
    Copy several snippets in a row, and they’re joined with “...”

  • Auto picture upload and photo editing: Includes pictures in your posts without going through a second upload step.

    Choose Picture from the Insert menu. In the dialog, choose small, medium or large. RocketPost will resize and upload it automatically.

  • Contextual spell check: Makes sure your post looks polished without getting in the way of the post.

    Choose Check Spelling from the Tools menu.
 
  • Search toolbar and copy permalink: Quickly find a previous post and copy its Web address.

    Type a keyword in the search toolbar and press Enter to find a previous post. Select the post and choose Copy Permalink from the Edit menu (or press Y). Now you can return to the post you were editing and insert a quick link.

  • Hyperlink search: Link to a previous post without leaving the post you're editing.

    Select some text in your post and choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu. Click the Post radio button. Type a search term and press Enter. Choose a post in the search results and click OK.

  • Web address expansion: Select some text and choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu. Type MyWebSite and press Ctrl+Enter. The address is expanded into http://www.MyWebSite.com automatically.
