Introduction to RocketPost

Anconia RocketPost 2 is the easiest and most powerful way to write your blog.

Getting started

1. Choose Setup Wizard from the Tools menu and follow the steps in the wizard
2. Double-click on the sample post
3. Click the Post button on the toolbar

Useful shortcuts

Here are some of the key shortcuts in RocketPost:

• Quick link: Insert a hyperlink instantly, without going through a dialog.
  
  Copy a Web address from your Web browser. Select some text in RocketPost. Choose Quick Link from the Insert menu (or press Ctrl+J) to turn the text into a hyperlink.
  
  
• Auto picture upload: Includes pictures in your posts without going through a second upload step.
  
  Choose Picture from the Insert menu to insert a picture. RocketPost will upload it automatically.
  
  
• Contextual spell check: Makes sure your post looks polished without getting in the way of the post.
  
  Choose Check Spelling from the Tools menu.
  
  
• Source cite tracking: Automatically links each quote you use in your post with its source on the Web.
  
  Copy a quote from your Web browser and then copy its Web address. In RocketPost, choose Paste Quote from the Edit menu (or press Ctr+Q). The quote is formatted automatically:

  This is the quote I copied... This is another quote I copied. [Link]

  You can copy several quotes in a row before copying the Web address. RocketPost automatically inserts "..." between them.
  
  
• Search toolbar and copy permalink: Quickly find a previous post and copy its Web address.
  
  Type a keyword in the search toolbar and click Enter to find a previous post. Select the post and choose Copy Permalink from the Edit menu (or press Y). Now you can return to the post you were editing and insert a quick link.
  
  
• Hyperlink search: Link to a previous post without leaving the post you’re editing.
  
  Select some text in your post and choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu. Click the Post radio button. The search term you selected will be shown in the search box. Choose a previous post in the search results and click OK. The text you selected in the post will turn into a hyperlink.
