Repair a corrupted database
First, make a backup copy of your database.
- In RocketSales, choose Exit from the File menu
- Select your database file:
- Windows 7, Vista: C:\ProgramData\Anconia\RocketSales\RocketSales database.mdb
- Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Anconia RocketSales\RocketSales database.mdb
- Type Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V to make a backup copy
Now follow the instructions below.
Compact and repair the database
- Open your database in Microsoft Access 2000 or later
- Compact the database
- Access 2007-10: File > Manage > Compact and Repair Database
- Access 2000-03: Tools > Database Utilities > Compact and Repair Database
- Start RocketSales
If that fails...
Restore a database backup
- In RocketSales, choose Exit from the File menu
- Open the database backup folder:
- Windows 7, Vista: C:\ProgramData\Anconia\RocketSales\Backups
- Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Anconia RocketSales\Backups
- Note which backup is the most recent. It will usually have the highest number. Copy it into the parent folder:
- Windows 7, Vista: C:\ProgramData\Anconia\RocketSales
- Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Anconia RocketSales
- Rename it to: RocketSales database.mdb
- Start RocketSales
If that fails...
Download a fresh database
- In RocketSales, choose Exit from the File menu
- Download a fresh database
- Save it in the database folder:
- Windows 7, Vista: C:\ProgramData\Anconia\RocketSales
- Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Anconia RocketSales
- Start RocketSales
